Artist Statement:
this year: my parents told me they loved me for the first time in my life.
i am 22 years old.
i wonder why it has been 22 years.
(my body did not know how to form the words in return)
(have i never learned before?)
i wonder why i was embarrassed to say it back.
i wonder how i have always known
they have always loved me.
